Playa Chiquita is located just south of Puerto Viejo de Limon, and is both close enough to the beaten path of Puerto Viejo for convenience and far enough away to create your own adventure. Fine dining, secluded beaches, jungle trekking, and wildlife photography opportunities are all within walking distance! Or come just to hang out and listen to the howler monkeys and tropical birds that call Costa Rica home. We offer affordable and eco-conscious accommodations for all types of travelers including backpackers, researchers, educators, students and those interested in helping the local community. Our lodging consists of “cabinas”

(or little cabins), surrounded by exotic fruit, vegetable, and flower organic gardens, providing you with a relaxed atmosphere to meet your trip and travel needs on the Caribbean . Each cabina has fully screened windows, private bathroom with hot shower, bedding and towels. C & J Juice Joint is situated adjacent to the cabinas, providing you with fresh, natural juices to start your day or provide you with an afternoon pick-me-up.

We are located approximately 6km south of Puerto Viejo de Limon, Costa Rica on the main road (inbetween Restaurant Elena’s and Vida Sana).  Find us on the map at Puerto Viejo Satellite.  Getting to us is super easy by bike, taxi, bus or rental car.

Reservations
Use our contact form to easily send us your reservation inquiry, email or call us! In the very near future, we will be upgrading our website to accept deposits and credit card information online.  At this time, you will need to contact us the day before your arrival to confirm your room and arrival time.

In general we do not provide long term housing (i.e. monthly rentals) for travelers. However, if you are a researcher, student, an educational group studying Costa Rica and/or contributing to the local community or a traveler interested in a work-trade agreement, then special arrangements can be made regarding rates and kitchen use for a long term stay. Groups
Although we have limited lodging, we can accommodate small groups. If you would like to bring your group, please email us for more information. Special arrangements will be made for groups who would like to visit Puerto Viejo.

General Rates
Rates are based on number or people sharing one cabina and the time of year.  Taxes and breakfast are included.
